Liam Hecht (pictured) and his brother Milo Hecht (photographer) paddled through downtown Montpelier on July 11 to check on shop windows for several merchant friends whose window alarms had gone off. The sign on the side of the courthouse building was originally put up by the Court Operations Manager in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The message is equally applicable to the challenges faced by the flood.
